Well, in order to reach Macchakandana waterfall you have to reach the Udala town. From Udala Mayurbhanj, small roads move inward. Through trees, through uneven ground. Two-wheelers manage easily and cars can move slowly. After a certain point, walking begins. It's not a long walk but it's uneven, with tones and you can find mud in monsoon which can get a little murky for you so if you're visiting in monsoon, please wear appropriate shoes and be a little careful. Travelers from Baripada usually reach Udala first, then continue, morning works best, forest is a little more calm and sound. That is when Macchakandana waterfall feels closest.
