Kandhamal is a beautiful district of the eastern Indian state of Odisha. The
administrative headquarters of the district is located in Phulbani. Even though the city is small in size,it is quite modern. Its industries produce glassware, milled rice, and woven cloth. It was once associated with forest and tribal people. The Kalinga ghat, along with Goud Dei hill, Putudi waterfalls, Pilasalunki Dam are an excellent attraction for nature lovers.
